Using AI workflows to increase your impact
Which AI tools I'm currently using to make daily life easier
AI has exploded onto the tech scene. Despite being around for some time, it’s only been the last 1.5 years that the power of AI has become too obvious to miss.
I’ve committed to learning as much as I can about AI so that I can use it to my advantage. Here are the AI tools that are helping me achieve more, with less effort:
Lindy.ai
This tool is really new to me but is quickly becoming a favorite. Lindy is like a personal assistant that travels with you from home to work and back home again, diligently doing the work you need to get done but either hate to do or have to hire someone else to do.
Powered by APIs from across the AI landscape, you can install pre-made widgets to help you field sales pitches, take meeting notes, and schedule meetings. You can create your own custom workflows that do research, read your emails, and send you reminders. So far, I’ve used Lindy to:
read the school emails I receive and automatically add school events to my calendar
do specific research tasks and then follow up with deep dives based on what sounds interesting to me
Claude (by Anthropic)
I use Claude at least ten times a day. Made by Anthropic, I appreciate Claude’s thoughtful and ethical approach to my queries. Writing to Claude is like speaking to a very neutral friend who has your best interests at heart. Here are some ways I use Claude:
assess restaurant menus for the healthiest options, cross-referencing it with the goals I’ve already stated in previous chats
explain hard concepts in easy to understand ways
suggest scripts I can use in hard situations
give me perspective on a range of topics
Gemini (by Google)
Gemini, the AI mechanism to Google, is like an assistant I never knew I needed. Integrated across the Google Suite, Gemini can:
evaluate huge vats of documents in Google Drive
suggest and create templates in Google Docs
gives me tips on more succinct writing
evaluate survey data and create charts in seconds
Canva AI
I have loved Canva for a long time, and now using Canva is even easier. AI is implemented across this creative asset site, so making social media assets, print assets, and posters is 5x faster than before. I love to use it for quick mockups that require images and videos.
Those are the tools I’m loving the most right now! What are you all using? Let me know!
